Bio - Simon Hayhurst
Simon started his working life in the financial services sector in 1988. He spent 12- years in the industry, working for Scottish Widows and then as an Independent Financial Adviser and General Insurance Broker.
Subsequently, Simon left the industry and set up an adult training company, gained his Microsoft Office Specialist training accreditation and specialised in using supported e-learning to help adults gain qualifications. He achieved an NVQ in Adult Advice and Guidance which allowed him to help unemployed adults, reskill and find work. A qualified NVQ assessor and has led projects that achieved Investors in People, Customer First and Community First.
Simon left the adult training industry in 2013 and moved into the telecommunications sector, joining a WISP (Wireless Internet Service Provider). Simon's role involved a wide spectrum of responsibilities including; corporate governance, HR, Health and Safety, Fleet Management, community engagement including area research and planning.
